(Iranian Army via AP)<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<p>The maneuvers are aimed at \u201cimproving readiness in confronting foreign threats and any possible invasion,\u201d the TV said.<\/p>\n<p>Iran regularly holds such drills to improve its defensive power and test weapons.<\/p>\n<p>Since mid-September, Iran has been shaken by anti-government protests. They were ignited by the death of a woman who was detained by the country\u2019s morality police.
